My Future from
History blog logo explained:
The logo portrays the infinite ideas and solutions to our societal issues that can come from knowing history and creatively connecting knowledge and experience to today’s capabilities.
The picture I took of an Underwood
typewriter circa 1920’s, represents history: The “Roaring 20’s”, “Golden
Age Twenties”, “The Jazz Age” or as the French referred to it “années folles”
or Crazy Years (of social, cultural and artistic dynamism). It was
certainly an exciting era in the history of modern man and change was in the air.
The modern computer flat
screen represents today and the amazingly fast, good and not so good,
changes we are living through.
I took the screen
picture the day of my daughter’s kindergarten graduation party. As I was
positioned at the bottom of a water-slide her brother joyously soaked my new Canon camera
and me. Juxtaposing a brief - joy and terror moment. The vivid
colours represent the spectrum of possibilities and as Bruce Lee said:
“Become like water my friend”.
